Beefsteak Tomato Appetizer

  • 2 large Beefsteak tomatoes
  • 4-5 tablespoon purple onions
  • 5 tablespoons of chopped chives or green onion
  • 1-2 garlic cloves – very finely minced to puree
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar (white, white balsamic or apple cider)
  • 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard
  • ½ tablespoon of olive oil


  1. Wash and slice Beefsteak tomatoes into thick slices
  2. Wash and chop purple onions and chives
  3. Finely mince garlic until pureed
  4. Mix vinegar, yellow mustard and olive oil together to create a dressing
  5. Place tomatoes on a plate, and garnish with above ingredients
  6. Eat, share and enjoy!
